Camp Ma-Ka-Ja-Wan

Snowy Little House
We had a fun but cold afternoon at the Little House of Glencoe, welcoming interested 5th and 6th graders to meet our Troop. The Scouts build a campfire, played games and used skewers to cook hot dogs and s’mores.

Law Merit Badge

Cold Weather Camping
One of our Assistant Scoutmasters took OKPIK cold weather camping training this weekend. The weather got down to 9 degrees overnight. Activities included cooking, hiking, mountain biking, campfire songs and snow snake competitions (with no snow!).

Skokie Lagoon Cleanup and Campout
Troop 28 spent several hours cleaning up the Skokie Lagoons, bagging trash and hauling out many beer bottles! Afterwards we had a cookout and campout at the Little House of Glencoe, and hade a taste testing of different freeze-dried meals.
